Owning a timeshare can be a lot of fun. The kind of luxury one receives with his or her stay rivals high quality hotels costing hundreds of dollars a night. For instance, the Nickelodeon Suites Resort offers one, two, and three bedroom suites with fun character themes. Staying in a two bedroom suite during the first week of July can cost as much as $300 a night before taxes.

There's no question that timeshare resorts can (but not always) offer great deals that save money for those who travel often, but they are not always pitched for what they are, which is high quality travel with great amenities. Many times, they are sold as investments, which is simply not true.
